James founded Driving People Operations after a career advising founders,
CEOs, nonprofit executives, and leadership teams on the
people decisions that shape growth, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

His experience spans Fortune 500 companies, growth-stage organizations, nonprofits, and founder-led businesses, where he has advised leaders on workforce strategy, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. He has built HR and People Operations functions, supported multi-site organizations, developed leaders at all levels, and guided organizations through growth and change.
Through DPO, he partners with business and nonprofit leaders to solve workforce challenges, strengthen leadership, and build practical people systems that support performance, accountability, and growth. His approach is grounded in business realities and focused on helping leaders create clarity, alignment, and lasting results.

James holds a B.A. in Business and Organizational Communication with a Minor in Business Administration from The University of Akron and has served on nonprofit boards for more than a decade. His experience in both business and nonprofit environments provides a practical perspective on leadership, governance, and organizational accountability.​
